Dennis recorded a rookery of Steller Sea Lions about 30 miles off of Seward, Alaska in the Chiswell Islands. Sea Lions are endangered and so protocol required keeping a respectful, non-threatening distance. These sounds became part of his composition called 'Beehive Island' on the CD "Glacier Bay."
